Pets on Quilts 2014 - Mr. Carter Santa's Little Helper

As everyone knows I absolutely adore my little Carter dog!  He is my little buddy and definitely a mama's boy!  And when I'm quilting or sewing, he knows that mama needs his help as well!

So the Pets on Quilt Pet Show going on at Lily Pad Quilting is right up my alley!

This entry is for the Dog/Puppy on Quilt category.  I snapped this pic on my phone when I was working on my Christmas quilt for my mom last year.  I had put all of the blocks on the floor downstairs and when I turned around this little guy was giving me this look.  Can't be mad at this little face!

30 Day Photo Challenge - Days 1 - 7

Here is my first update of the 30 Day Photo Challenge I'm doing.  You can read more about it here.  I re-posted my Day 1 photo so I have the full Days 1-7 in the same place.  The pic of the marigolds, I was laying on my stomach in my In-Laws' front yard.  Good thing my Mother-in-Law (MM) is as bad as me when it comes to trying to get a great picture, so she understood!  

Saturday up North

We went up to visit my husband's parents on Saturday because his grandma was here from out of town.  It was the perfect weather to sit outside and spend time with everyone.  Mr. C enjoyed checking out all of the the plants that my mother-in-law (MM) has.  Well, and I did too, I had fun taking pictures of them all.

Love these purple flowers. Anyone know what they are? I've been seeing them everywhere & I want some! 

My in-laws have a motel, loved seeing all these boats lined up in the parking lot. They were all from a fishing tournament. 

Even though we were just up there for a day, it was such a great time to relax and recharge.  Sometimes I really miss  it up north.  Just feels like home.

My Birthday & 30 Day Photo Challenge

I hope everyone is having a great weekend!  I know I sure am, especially since today is my birthday :)  I love when it falls on Memorial Day weekend because I get that extra day off with my husband and Mr. C!  We did some major landscaping this week (pics to come soon).  And now that we have a yard, I've been seeing birds!  Bluebirds, Robins, Purple & Yellow Finches.  Its so exciting!  My hubby got me a bird feeder & bird house for my birthday!  So hopefully once I get those up, the birdies will stick around for good!  

I am not going to tell you how old I am today, but on a completely unrelated topic *wink* I found this 30 day photo challenge on Pinterest and thought it was a great idea.  So I am going to do this for the next 30 days.  

Today is day #1 - Self-Portrait.
